Healing.

A gorgeously enjoyable rendition of one of my favourite pieces of all time: Por Una Cabeza (: Soulful, and the unique arrangement with a harp adds to the beauty to the piece, and really brings depth to the melody.

Silence.

Perhaps the question now would be: What can we do?

D:

GO AWAY EOYs I NEED MORE TIME TO CONQUER YOU.

Damn why didn’t I start studying earlier?

Somehow I say this every year.

And after a year and a half of hard work, it has finally come to an end. It felt almost surreal, after all the late nights and the meetings and the arguments and the sheer workload: I suppose it has all been worth it. Apologies to those we caused to fall asleep today, but we had a great time up there, and it was a great experience (and completely nerve-wrecking) presenting to the school today.

Thank you Darren, Weng Hong, Stephen and Aaron, and hopefully this project has made some impact in efforts on environmental conservation (cheesy as it might sound), however little it might have been. But nonetheless it’s a baby step, and we always have to make baby steps before we can take big steps.

Gold :D We never expected the award, but it was hard work paid off! Thanks to MRS ONG WAI LING for being such a fantastic mentor who’s always there for us and always finding opportunities for us to showcase our project, and for also pushing us so hard! We’ve never really thanked you enough but we’re really glad to have you as our teacher mentor! (It helps that you’re funny to laugh with/at too!)

(:

Our group blog can be accessed here.

A poignant remembrance of our fathers, of our parents. It struck me how I’ve never said “I love you” to my father, at least not for a long time, how I’ve never appreciated openly all the quiet things he does for me. I never do say “Thanks Dad”, or “I appreciate it Dad” or even “I’m sorry Dad” whenever I’m rude and make mistakes. But he never does say anything, because I know he loves me, and I know that maybe I’m not the best son out there, but he doesn’t mind because I’m his son and he loves me, and that’s all that matters to him.

Daughter or son, father or mother, we are a family. Because I know that when I’m down, the people that will never leave me alone will be my family. Because I know they will be there for me because they love me.

I never thought I’d say this, but (finally) there’s a good singer from Singapore Idol :D (Or Singapore for that matter, excluding Corrinne May or the Chinese singers.) Go Tabitha! I will start watching after EOYs :D I do hope a Malay guy doesn’t win again -.-

(:

Just thought I should post this:

WELL DONE BOOMXZ: SWIFT OPPRESSION. It was really a result of hard work paid off: never mind that we didn’t get first or second, we’ve already done our best and we genuinely enjoyed every minute of the process! Thanks for making my last major project in RI such an enjoyable one (:

We all knew how much effort we put in, how much time we invested, and how much energy we had (and how much EOY revision was sacrificed in the process). At the end of the day nobody’s gonna remembered what results we got, but the fun that we had in this project and the time spent up at the 7th floor working on this truly fun project.

WE KICKED ASS. LET NOBODY ELSE TELL YOU OTHERWISE.

Convenience.

We all know your name. We all know your birthday
what color your eyes are, what your favorite food is.
I’m not going to ask those dumb questions.
Instead…

1. Any names your parents were thinking about that you would prefer?
To match my sister’s name (Sherie) they were considering names like Shawn and Shane, but ah well, I guess I still like Daron. Just not my Chinese name.

2. If you had to pick one outfit that you currently own to wear for the rest of your life, what would it consist of?
O.O I’m not particularly fussy like a certain Prada-clad friend of mine :D

3. What do you think is going to happen to you after you die?
I suppose being an atheist I’m supposed to go to hell and burn there, but I shall not be blasphemous today.

4. What TV show have you seen every episode of?
Plenty. Korean dramas! And certain reality shows we must not name to protect our identities.

5. What movie can you quote every line to?
Hmm none in particular, I like quoting Youtube videos though! BOOMZ.

6. What bands would you like to see in concert?
FERGIE, SCRATCH ME!

7. If you had the money to retire anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Wherever my family is.

8. Is there a piece of jewelry or something similar that if you lost, you would feel naked?
Nope, I don’t wear jewellery!

9. What is one thing [appearance-wise or other] you would change about yourself?
Everything.

10. One thing you would change about your best friend?
(For the purpose of this question I shall assume this to be Gregory) Nothing (: Maybe a *little less* bitching but that would make you less funny :D

11. Everyone remembers their first birthday party that involved friends. Describe yours.
I admit, I don’t remember my first. I do remember the one I had in Penang when I was 8 and hordes of relatives came (even those I’ve never met in my life before). It became more of a Tan Family gathering than my birthday. But nonetheless, … it was fun. Somewhat. I HAD A MEW CAKE. (Pokemon, for those lost deprived souls)

12. What do you think is the perfect age and why?
None in particular!

13. Name one (and only ONE) person that you feel most comfortable around; no awkward silences.
娘!(Translated for Mush: Mother!)

14. How long have you known the person you named in the previous question?
FOREVERRRRR~

15. Which member of your family has the biggest influence on your life?
All of them do! I’m not biased!

16. If you won a $1,000 shopping spree to one store, what store would you want it to be?
I was *almost* going to say Kinokuniya, then I realised I don’t read as much anymore.

17. Which is your favorite comic book movie?
-Coughs- I need to protect my secret childish side.

18. What do you think this phrase means: “I am drearily bloodletting this bedwetting cosmonaut”?
Convolution.

19. If you could go back in time and relive one memory – relive it, not change it – what memory would it be?
My childhood.

20. How old were you when you learned how to ride a bike?
I have no idea! Pretty young I remember: I used to fall a lot.

21. Who taught you?
Dad I think!

22. When you go to the movies, do you like to get candy or popcorn?

Sour Cream & Onion :D

53. Do you have any famous ancestors?
Nope, I don't even know who my ancestors are.

54. Did you ever beg your parents for a pony?
HELL YEAH.

55. Would you rather be blind or deaf?
Deaf.

56. Is there someone you’ve been enemies with since you were little, and it’s never changed despite growing up and becoming more mature?
Not really I guess, I don't bear grudges. Even though I complain a lot deep down inside I've never really hated someone.

Yeah.

64. Who would you tag in this note?
THIS AIN'T FACEBOOK.

64. Last but not least, type some funny or inspiring lyrics that you can think of now as a closing:
"Maybe no one told you, there was strength in your tears."
Kelly Clarkson (:
